naturally AQUA-WertMin also operates under MS Access 2003. You only have to consider the following points:

1. Installation of SP2 and download and installation of all available updates for MS Office 2003 with app. 109 MB.

2. Start MS Access 2003 and click on „Security“ in „Tools/Macro“. Set the „Security Level“ on „Low“ and confirm with „OK“.

You can now install AQUA-WertMin and work with it as normal. #Name is no longer displayed in the print list User Information for the request of the activation code.

sometimes not the actual diagrams are displayed in the full (and test) and viewer version of AQUA-WertMin 6.x. This is due to the fact that Access opens the existing older diagrams in cache first.

Please close the diagram and open it again with a double click. Normally the correct diagram is opened the third time at the latest.

Upon opening the viewer the button “Print Lists” is activated. Unfortunately the print lists can only be opened after activating the button “Charts“ and opening a diagram. I’m afraid, but I cannot solve this problem at the moment. Obviously this is due to Access.

Dear Mr. Wrase,

those are pleasing messages in a strained world. The life continues. In the
Middle Ages humans at missing drains died. Also we missed the maintenance of
the channels in the last decades. Nothing keeps eternal. Depending upon use and

to go to us also here new ways in a simulation. Thinking is cheaper!

With the test version the import is prevented. They can process thus no

Possibly in a further processing step a secondary measuring execute and simply

Learn the program runs. Will printout you the assistance and study everything.
How classifying it the TV-status datas?
The classification of the TV inspection data is crucial. Study our articles and
study "Demo-San-E-3.8.01.pdf". A classification of the material value is
important in the apron of aqua WertMin!

Please you inform about our standards about this topic. To the better outline
here some further information.

The status classification is to be carried out after reaches. There will be a
new Euro standart for it very soon, which will also be in English! It concerns
the EN-DIN standards:

1.) (Draft standard) DIN EN 13508-2, Publication date:1999-07 Condition of
drain and sewer systems outside buildings - Part 2:Visual inspection coding
system; German version prEN 13508-2: 1999

2.)DIN EN 752-5, Publication date: 1997-11 Drain and sewer systems outside
buildings - Part 5: Rehabilitation translation English 80,43 EUR

3.) (Draft standard) ISO/FDIS 13689, Publication date: 2000-12 Refrigerated
light hydrocarbon fluids - Measurement of liquid levels in tanks containing
liquefied gases - Microwave-type level gauge.

4.) (Draft standard) ISO/ DIS 13380, Publication date: 2000-01 Condition
monitoring and diagnostics of machines - Use of performance parameters -
General guidelines

These standards can also be ordered online in English language at the following
web address of the Beuth publishing house:

The first part of the DIN EN 13508 “Allgemeine Anforderung für die
Zustandserfassung” is still in progress. For more information see:

Dear Mr. Wrase,

we are not sure, by what detail the error message occured. Maybe it is a language conflict of the german installation-procedure and the english Windows. But there will be another way to install the program, which will cause no problems:

1) Extract (par example by winzip) the WERTMIN5.0.CAB in C:\WertMin5_Installation.tmp in the current directory.

2) Create the folders:
C:\Wertmin5 (if it doesn't exist from former installations)
C:\Wertmin5\files

3) copy the attached files
- wertmincopy.bat
- register.bat
in the directory C:\WertMin5_Installation.tmp

4) start the wertmincopy.bat. It contains:

rem copies the WertMin files in folder wertmin5

copy C:\WertMin5_Installation.tmp\wertmin5.* c:\wertmin5
copy C:\WertMin5_Installation.tmp\*.mdb c:\wertmin5
copy C:\WertMin5_Installation.tmp\*.wf c:\wertmin5
copy C:\WertMin5_Installation.tmp\wertmin.ico c:\wertmin5

rem copies the needed OCX's and probably needed DLL's in folder files

copy C:\WertMin5_Installation.tmp\*.dll c:\wertmin5\files
copy C:\WertMin5_Installation.tmp\*.ocx c:\wertmin5\files
copy C:\WertMin5_Installation.tmp\*.tlb c:\wertmin5\files

5) Now, some files must be make known with the registry by starting the file
register.bat.

It contains:

REM makes the needed OCX-files known at the registry

REM Caution! Please make sure, where the file regsvr32.exe is located at your computer
REM and change the path.
REM Maybe the path is: C:\winnt\system32
REM or: C:\winnt\system

c:\windows\system\regsvr32 c:\wertmin5\files\lizenzmgr.ocx

REM Maybe the other OCX are not yet on your computer, activate the registration
REM by deleting the "REM"

REM c:\windows\system\regsvr32 c:\wertmin5\files\mschrt20.ocx
REM c:\windows\system\regsvr32 c:\wertmin5\files\mscomctl.ocx
REM c:\windows\system\regsvr32 c:\wertmin5\files\comdlg32.ocx
REM c:\windows\system\regsvr32 c:\wertmin5\files\richtx32.ocx

REM If you see, that some of the DLL-files in the folder "files" are not on your computer make them
REM known at the registry in the same way. Caution! If they ARE already on your computer don't
REM make them known. It may be make an type mismatch too.

6) You should try to start WertMin after making known the OCX-file(s). Normally it must be run, when Office2000 is installed. If not, look if some of the DLL's are missing and in case make them known to the registry.

I wish you a successful installation and work with AQUA-WertMin and a good weekend too. Please give me information, if this way of installation is succesful.

Sincerly yours

Dear Mr. Krug,

Thank you for your continued attempts to get the Aqua WertMin software
working for us. We have gone through the steps outlined in your latest
email, and today, we were able to start the Wert Min software. However, we
do not start the program by clicking on the short cut icon (wertmin.ico).
It can only be started by double clicking on the wertmin5.mde.

It appears to be working, as I was able to create a new database. I will
populate this database with some Minneapolis Sewer data to test the
software. I will contact you periodically to update you on our progress.

I am very excited to test the Wert Min. I hope that you will increase your
marketing efforts for the product here in the United States. There is a

Dear Mr. Wrase,

I'm not specialised in this internal computer problems, so I have directed
the problem to an specialist... and I'm still waiting for answer. But for me, the error message "Type mismatch" seems to be, that

a) two different kind of a DLL-file are in use (maybe they are located in two different directorys, which are included in your "Path"-Informationen in the autoexec.bat

b) or a DLL file which is used is located not in the windows\system - directory but in another directory which is the active directory or is
included in your "Path"-Informationen in the autoexec.bat (and so it is maybe not registered in the registry)

I had the same error message in a similar case at win98: At first the msvbvm60.dll file was missing. Did you ever get the message during
Installation, that a DLL-file is missing? I copied it from the wertmin5.cab (open by double-clicking) to the wertmin5_installation.temp - directory (the active directory, see case b)) and the error-message "type mismatch"
occured. When deleting the DLL from the current directory and copying it in the windows\system directory the installation was done successfully. I don't know, if this is similar to your problem and if it is, the problem can be solved in the same way under WinNt.

Nevertheless I will tell you, if I have more information.

Sincerly

AQUA Ingenieure GmbH,
Entschuldigung Sie mein Englisch bitte. Mein Deutschlernen ist nur Stufe
ein.
Greetings from the United States. I must say that I was very pleased to find information regarding your product, AQUA-WertMin, available on the WWW. With the exception of pavement management, engineered infrastructure
management is only just beginning to receive attention here in the United States. Few cities have any management programs in place regarding their sewer systems. The city with which I am involved, Minneapolis, Minnesota, also is guilty of non-forward thinking sewer management. Even in the universities and in the professional infrastructure management field, research and information regarding this subject is only now beginning to be developed.
However, things are changing for the better. The Government Accounting Standards Board has recently drafted requirements for cities to account for and to properly maintain all portions of their municipal infrastructure.
Within the next few years all government entities will be required to provide for a forward thinking management system.
My interest in this subject has two causes:
First, I am employed by a city that will need to establish a forward thinking system. I must let you know that the AQUA-WertMin system is the
only product I have come across so far that meets the needs of modern sewer management that contains a rigorous condition modeling component. I would hope that you would begin to introduce your product to the American market.
My opinion is that it will be warmly received here, and at the current time, you have no competitor in this market.
Secondly, I am currently a graduate student at the University of Minnesota, with a study program of Infrastructure Systems Management. I am preparing a thesis on the state of technology within the sewer system management field.
So far in my research, I am amazed by the lack of research that has been undertaken in this field here in the United States. The most comprehensive
source of information regarding sewer system deterioration that I have been able to locate is a Ph.D. thesis that was completed at Louisiana Technical University only last year. This thesis limited its research to clay and concrete pipes in the gulf coast region of the United States.
In December of 2001, I will be presenting my paper to University staff, members of the regional engineering community, and my fellow classmates, all of whom are involved in the management of various types of Infrastructure
management. As part of my presentation I would like to present the sample version of your software for an example management technique, provided that I have your permission. I believe the including AQUA-WertMin would be
beneficial to both my presentation, and also to AQUA Ingenieure GmbH. This presentation will provide many local infrastructure professionals to the capabilities of your product, and will also open their eyes to the extreme
advancement that your company has provided within this field, especially when viewed in comparison to the status of the research in the USA.
Also, if you would be able to provide me with any research documents(In English please) relating to survival analysis of sewer systems, I would be
greatly appreciative. As I have stated above, American research is virtually non existent.
On a final note, I will be in the Frankfurt area from January 14, 2002 until January 21, 2002 on a vacation. I you are available, I would appreciate the chance to meet with you and see first hand the capabilities of the
AQUA-WertMin system.
Thank You Very Much,
